....... while advertising for the Position here at work I have noticed that people don't spell ColdFusion correctly yes there is no space and yes it's a capital F.
Ok, Versions 1-3 were called Cold Fusion but since Version 4.0 (1998) it has been ColdFusion so there is no need for anyone to miss spell it any more. 10 Years next year!Yes it is a pet hate of mine, but take a look at Damon Coopers Blog Entry you will see the name change and the logo changes. Also Aaron Lynch noted it a year ago, we won't turn down CV's on that merit as there isn't enough of them already :) but Just thought the message needs to get out more.
I also bought Web Designer Magazine on the back of Andy Allan's posting, and yes on the front cover it has Coldfusion grrrrrrr but luckily not to ruin my reading its right through out the articles and the Editors intro phewww.
So its "ColdFusion"
I understand it completely Kev, it's been a pet peeve of mine for many years. The first time is really ever bothered me was around 2001/2002, when I was looking for a new job and when I searched Monster or Dice I couldn't just search for "ColdFusion". I also had to search for "Cold Fusion" and "Cold-Fusion", or I did not get all the possible results.
This is exactly my point, I have heard before a recruiter tell someone, how can they expect to find a job in the industry if they can't spell Cold Fusion right. He had to point them at the Adobe/MM Website. At which point the recruiter shut up and never got back to them lol.
Kev, bit touchy are we?
