Harness the power of Twitter in your Testing
The term and its definition just came to me after Robert Rawlins announced the launch of his new site.
Soon as he tweeted his holding page, me being me, picked up on some keywords on it, the main one being Lab. So like any site that is about to be launched or is being redesigned the code is already on the live server being tested. So I thought I would go to the sub domain labs and bang I didn't get a DNS Error I got some site, which didn't look right. So of course being the good boy I am I pinged him on Direct Message and he said he knew and things were in hand, but thanks.
So this bring s me to the Term "Twitter Testing" it's like "Hall Way" testing, where if you don't know you grab someone in the hall way and ask them to test something for you, i.e. organic testing we as developers developing a site / application know how it should work and test it the way we know will work every time, but someone else won't and this will help you find issue.
So by posing a test URL to twitter your followers can help you and send you feedback, after all we are all here to help each other and twitter helps in so many others way on the knowledge front it can help on the practical front (Also a by product of this if enough do it, you get a load test)
