There seems to be more and more CF Developers turning to MAC OS X for their development platform, this includes me. So I was wondering who is currently developing on the MAC OS X Platform and who is willing to be converted.
If you haven't converted yet, but are willing to be influenced what will help? Maybe all you need is a chance to have a go on one with a CF Development Environment?
I know that Mark Drew, Sean Corfield, Andy J, Peter Bell too name the ones off the top of my hat have all gone over anyone else?????
Let me know your thoughts and even the Rough time you converted ;)
Apple's UK delivery service is slower than Dell's :o). I have just bought myself an MB black (as opposed to pro). A delayed delivery on my new dell was enough to convert me. Honestly, it was scotch 007 that was really the turning point. Since then I've been waiting for leopard, in the end I just could not resist.
I've also made the jump ... well, I've waiting to make it. I ordered my MB Pro on August 1st and Apple UK still haven't processed the order. Not too impressed with their service.
I made the switch full-time this past December when I bought my MBP. I love it. My only gripe is that when Im sitting at me desk at home, I cant run dual external monitors. But Im buying a 24" iMac for my home office so that will remedy that!
I'm half converted. I enjoy working on both Max OS X and Windows XP, as each has it's plusses and minuses. So, throughout the day, I spend much of my day developing on CFEclipse on Windows XP via Parallels to mimic our production environ. (Windows 2003/IIS/CF 7 & 8). For email, Office, IM, and gadgets, I mostly use OS X... and then I also have to RDC into the Windows 2003 servers to do work on them throughout a typical day. Obviously OS X with Parallels gives you more flexibility than a plain Windows setup, so I love it.
I have been using Mac/Windows/*nix for years but find that I am using my Mac more and more. With Parallels on my Mac Pro I find myself using my other boxes less each day.
